Salad spinner art

This was our first time doing salad spinner art. I have always seen it and wanted to do it but couldn't bring myself to spend 15-20$ on a new salad spinner just for art. But when wandering Ikea, I found one for 3$! So it was a must! We tried it today with not much success. I guess you need watered down paint and to be very generous with it. So after trial and error this is what we got. Tomorrow I think we will cut them into Easter eggs and hang them or something :)

Have you done salad spinner art? Any tips!

Leprechaun trap -- part 2

In case you didn't know. Leprechauns love rainbows, the color green and clovers <3 so we added all of them to our trap to try to make one come. Plus we installed a ladder thinking he would climb in and see our gold and not have a way out.

Happy hunting <3

Leprechaun trap -- part one

Today we started making out leprechaun trap. Since leprechauns like green and love rainbows we did a little of both :)

- For the green shamrocks we used bell peppers and different colored green paint

- For the rainbows we squirted colors on a sponge and rubbed it across taped down paper :)

I think they both turned out cute. Now to let the massive amount of paint dry and use it tomorrow :) stay tuned :))

Sidewalk chalk paint

We made some sidewalk chalk paint as our rainy day craft. We got a little break in the rain and went out to decorate our side walk :) I think it adds some character. Not to mention we get to watch the rain wash it away.

The recipe is:

1/4 cup of corn starch
1/4 cup of water
Food coloring to desired color

Mix well and have fun!

Lucky clovers

Today we did another Saint Patrick's Day craft. We glued sprinkles ( they are super old) on clovers.

Getting in the green spirit :)
