In the spirit of Christmas
Well we have been soooo busy lately that I have been slacking on our advent calendar activities. I feel like when i finally get a chance to rest in hearing "let's dance" or " mama cars" so I don't have much free time. Hopefully it will slow after Christmas.
Anyways. Today to try to do a simple craft but get us in the mood for Christmas i let little G decorate a tee with some dot markers and then did santa's beard with cotton balls and glue everywhere.

Puffy snow fun
We mixed equal parts of shaving cream and school glue. Put it on some card stock paper and added the nose eyes and other features. When the mixture dries it dries all puffy so it looks like snow :))
Salt dough orinaments - part two
Today was day two of our ornament making. We painted the white ones we made and glues on some sparkles to our blue ones.

Merry Little Snowmen
Went down to my grandparent in- laws the other day and they had out all of their Christmas stuff. One thing I quickly noticed were these 4x4 snowmen they had sitting out. They were something that my husband had made when he was little. instantly a light bulb went off and I though knew I had to make these with little G. so, I have been working on painting them the last few days, coat after coat until they were perfectly white with no lines or drip marks.. ( I kind of have OCD sometimes)
Finally today they were ready to be decorated. And after much thought I figured out how I wanted to make them look. So little G and I went to Walmart and got some black and orange buttons, some some Christmas socks, and some gray fleece fabric. I got out the glue gun, wiggly eyes and pipe cleaners and let him do most of the work. I think they turned out soooooo adorable! So happy we did them, they make our house feel more like Christmas and who doesn't love having a keep sake that their child made :))

Advent Calendar - Day Seven
Today when Little G opened his bag by the christmas tree he pulled out the paper to see what the activity was and it read: make a paper plate Christmas craft. So that's what we did.
Later we watched the Polar Express. His first time ever watching it and he was so excited. Constantly saying " Whoa, what's that" christmas is getting more and more fun with him the older he gets :)
